Compact Games FAQ
Answers about playing, hosting, rewards, wallets, and competitions on Compact Games.
Getting Started
What is Compact Games?
Compact Games is a browser-based competition platform for arcade-style mini-games. Players join time-limited competitions, play for scores, and compete for leaderboard positions, raffle entries, platform rewards, or on-chain prize pools depending on how each competition is configured.
How do competitions work?
Each competition has a game, a schedule, entry rules, and a prize setup. Before joining, review the rules, requirements, price, and prize details. During the competition, play while it is active and submit runs to the leaderboard. After it ends, winners are determined from the configured prize rules.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Games run in the browser and are designed for desktop, tablet, and mobile. You only need to sign in and meet the entry requirements for the competition you want to play.
Do I need a wallet or NFT to use Compact Games?
You can browse competitions and play open competitions without owning an NFT. Some competitions may require a connected wallet, a Compact Games NFT, another NFT or token holding, a whitelist entry, a Discord role, an X account action, tickets, or a game pass. The competition details page shows the exact requirements before you join, so you can check eligibility first.
Which network does Compact Games use for on-chain actions?
On-chain competition actions use the Abstract network. If a competition uses smart-contract tickets, passes, creator revenue, or prize pools, your wallet transaction will be submitted on Abstract. Always review the wallet prompt before confirming.
Playing
How do I join a competition?
Open the competition details page and review the dates, rules, requirements, ticket or game-pass price, and prize information. If you meet the requirements, follow the join or play flow. If the competition requires a wallet transaction, you will be asked to confirm it before entry.
What is the difference between tickets and game passes?
Tickets grant a single play opportunity; use them when each attempt is purchased separately. Game passes allow unlimited play opportunities during a competition; use a game pass when you want open retry access for that event.
Where can I see competitions I already played?
Use Played Competitions from the Browse menu to find competitions where you have participated. Active and upcoming competitions are available from Competitions.
Rewards & Prizes
What types of prizes can competitions use?
Competitions can use platform rewards issued by Compact Games features such as gems, host-distributed prizes delivered manually by the host, and smart-contract prize pools with on-chain funds claimable by winners after results are finalized. Prize structures can be guaranteed placements, raffles, or weighted raffles when those options are available to the host.
What is a smart-contract prize pool?
A smart-contract prize pool is funded on-chain and distributed through the competition contract. Depending on the setup, funds can be split between the prize pool (claimable by winners after results are finalized), creator revenue (claimable by the competition creator when enabled), and a burn allocation permanently removed from circulation. The competition details page shows whether a competition uses an on-chain prize pool before you participate.
How do I claim a smart-contract prize?
If you are marked as a winner for a competition with a smart-contract prize pool, a claim action appears on the competition details page after results are finalized. Connect the winning wallet, review the claim information, and confirm the wallet transaction on Abstract. If the claim action is not visible yet, the results may not be finalized.
How are host-distributed prizes delivered?
Host-distributed prizes are sent manually by the competition host. Review the prize description and host instructions before joining, and make sure your reward wallet or contact details are up to date where required. Delivery timing and fulfillment details are managed by the host.
What are gems?
Gems are Compact Games platform collectibles that can be awarded through quests, partnership codes, and some prize setups. When a competition or quest includes gems, the reward details are shown in the relevant screen before you participate.
Hosting
Who can host competitions?
Anyone can host competitions on Compact Games. Whether you are a gaming community, NFT project, creator, streamer, brand, or simply someone who wants to engage an audience, you can create and customize your own competitions. Host features may vary by plan and account access.
What fees does Compact Games Platform take from hosted competitions?
Compact Games Platform only takes a fee from paid competition access, such as ticket and game-pass purchases: 5% for standard hosted competitions, or 2% when the host holds a Compact Games NFT. There are no extra platform fees on other competition activity.
What entry requirements can hosts use?
Depending on plan access, hosts can combine requirements such as Discord roles, X actions, NFT or crypto holdings, whitelist access, tickets, and game passes. Requirements are displayed to players on the competition details page before they join.
What are private competitions?
Private competitions are not broadly visible in the same way as public competitions. They are useful for partner campaigns, gated communities, internal events, and invite-style activations. Access depends on the visibility and requirements configured by the host.
How do host plans affect features?
Host plans can unlock higher limits and advanced features such as more requirement types, private competition visibility, additional games, creator revenue setup, and advanced prize distributions. Use Plans & Billing to review the plans available to your account before creating a competition that depends on a specific feature.
Community & Support
Where can I find Compact Games on social media?
Compact Games is active on X, Discord, and OpenSea. Use the official Socials page inside the app to avoid fake links.
How can I report bugs or issues?
Report bugs through the Compact Games Discord support channel. Include the competition link and affected account or wallet address, your browser and device with screenshots or a recording, the transaction hash for wallet or on-chain issues, and the steps to reproduce the issue.
A transaction is pending or failed. What should I do?
First check your wallet and the transaction hash on the Abstract explorer. If the transaction failed, you may need to retry the action. If it is pending for a long time, avoid submitting repeated transactions until you know the first one failed. If the app state looks wrong after confirmation, contact support with the transaction hash and competition link.
How can I collaborate with Compact Games?
Creators, communities, and partners can reach out through Discord to discuss co-branded competitions, prize sponsorships, whitelist campaigns, Discord-gated events, and other collaborations.
